℗ 1972 Buddah Records, Inc.
Exclusively distributed by Buddah Records, Inc., 810 Seventh Ave., N.Y.C. 10019 - a subsidiary of Viewlex, Inc.
Recorded by Mediasound.
A to C recorded live at Radio City Music Hall, July 6, 1972.
D recorded live at Radio City Music Hall, July 3, 1972.
Heavy laminated gatefold cover with printed company inner sleeves.
Also on Ampex 8-track and cassette stereo tapes.
The manzello is essentially a B-flat soprano sax with a curved neck, a straighter pipe, and an upturned bell, similar to the Saxello sold by the H.N. White Company from the mid-1920s until the late ’30s; the stritch is a similarly modded E-flat alto, but this time without the usual upturned bell. (JazzTimes, May 22, 2020)
